Yes, wedding season is typically during the summer: When the flowers are out, the birds are chirping, and being in a strapless wedding dress outside doesn’t require mini hot-chocolate breaks by the fire. But when Matt and Christie first contacted us (all the way from TEXAS!) and said they were coming to Canada and wanted some winter wedding photography in Whistler, we jumped at the chance!
These two lovebirds have been together for years. They have four kids between them, and decided one day it was finally time to tie the knot- their way! Call it an elopement, call it a mini wedding – but when you and your beau adventure to another country to have a ski vacation/honeymoon and want to get some wedding photography in the snow while you’re there, we’re all for it.
Our session first started at Whistler’s stunning Nita Lake Lodge, and then took us over to the Brandywine Falls. Although we could have ventured down to the bottom of the falls themselves, for safety’s sake (and because our Groom was wearing tuxedo shoes!) we just kept to the path that lead to the lookout.
We would like to wish Christie and Matt a wonderful life together filled with lots of love and laughter.
